This is a remote position.

Our client is looking for aPatient Coordinatorto support the early stages of clinical trial recruitment by connecting with prospective participants, conducting remote pre-screening calls, and determining whether individuals may qualify for research opportunities.

They operate in the clinical research and healthcare technology space, combining patient-centered engagement with technology to help clinical studies recruit qualified participants more efficiently. In recent years, they have supported a growing portfolio of clinical studies across numerous therapeutic areas while helping research teams accelerate patient enrollment.

The ideal candidate is an empathetic and confident communicator who is comfortable handling a high volume of patient conversations, discussing medical information, following structured screening protocols, and maintaining accurate documentation. This role requires a combination of healthcare knowledge, strong phone communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced remote environment.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound calls with prospective clinical trial participants.

  • Conduct detailed remote pre-screening conversations to collect medical history, demographic information, and other trial-specific eligibility details.

  • Communicate with prospective participants clearly, professionally, and compassionately, often following established scripts and screening protocols.

  • Explain clinical trial objectives, eligibility requirements, and potential risks and benefits in language patients can easily understand.

  • Build positive relationships with prospective participants by providing attentive, supportive, and patient-focused service.

  • Apply knowledge of medical terminology when reviewing patient information and evaluating potential trial eligibility.

  • Use remote communication and collaboration platforms to manage calls, documentation, and internal communication.

  • Meet or exceed established KPIs related to qualified referrals, patient enrollment, conversion rates, and other downstream outcomes.

  • Maintain complete, accurate, and timely documentation of patient interactions in accordance with regulatory and study-specific requirements.

  • Participate in ongoing remote training covering study protocols, compliance requirements, and patient engagement best practices.

  • Follow established quality assurance procedures and applicable clinical research requirements.

  • Keep relevant stakeholders informed about patient status, referral outcomes, and any concerns or issues identified during the screening process.


Requirements

  • Minimum2 years of call center experience within healthcare or clinical research.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to explain medical or clinical information clearly and confidently to patients.

  • Working knowledge of medical terminology and clinical trial processes.

  • Experience managing a high volume of phone-based interactions.

  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly when documenting patient information.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced remote environment.

  • Strong computer literacy and willingness to quickly learn new software.

  • Reliable internet connection and an appropriate home workspace for confidential patient conversations.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a healthcare call center, clinical research organization, patient recruitment environment, or similar patient-facing setting.

  • Comfortable managing both inbound and outbound patient calls.

  • Proficiency with remote collaboration and communication platforms such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, RingCentral, and Slack.

  • Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certification is preferred, or willingness to obtain the certification within the required timeframe.

  • Ability to remain empathetic and professional when communicating with patients experiencing sensitive or emotional circumstances.

  • Comfortable adapting working hours occasionally when patient or project requirements require additional flexibility.
