About the role

Purpose of Role

Advance business objectives by aligning sales and customer-facing functions to deliver sustainable revenue growth, exceptional customer value, and long-term market success. Lead the Piano Division's integrated sales, institutional, service, and product-training functions. Develop and execute strategies that drive sustainable revenue growth, strengthen dealer and institutional relationships, improve service and customer experience, expand market opportunity, and achieve annual business objectives. Translate divisional and corporate priorities into coordinated plans across Higher Education solutions sales team, piano sales team, piano services, and product training while developing the leaders responsible for each function.

Key Accountabilities Include

  • Drive strategic direction for sales aligned to the division and YCA strategy.
  • Ensure achievement of objectives, goals and KPIs for sales functions.
  • Resolve critical internal and external matters that impact sales.
  • Ensure a positive customer and partner sales experience.
  • Maximize distribution strategy.
  • Continually improve the quality of services provided by departments reporting into sales.
  • Support consistent market coverage and equitable sales team management.
  • Build an organizational climate that attracts, engages, and develops team members.

Primary Responsibilities Include

  • Lead a sales & services team, collaborating cross-functionally in the development, socialization, and execution of integrated sales and marketing strategies across internal stakeholders, channel partners, and institutions. Ensure strategies are supported by appropriate tools, programs, inventory planning, training, and market activation.
  • Oversee design and execution of the distribution strategies & deliver effective territory planning, partner engagement, and market coverage analysis.
  • Design and assign goals for each function reporting to sales, including revenue, financial, operational, and performance goals.
  • Lead needs assessment, development, and execution of product training for internal and external audiences.
  • Monitor, report, and make business recommendations for the division's sales metrics, trends and data.
  • Ensure execution of assigned financial responsibilities, including department P&L, incentive plan payouts, and channel partner programs.
  • Identify expansion opportunities in existing and emerging markets, including underserved territories, new partner opportunities, and product placement gaps.

Qualifications

Preferred

  • 7+ years of sales or commercial management experience
  • Experience leading across distinct channels, customer segments or business functions
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience and proficiency with Salesforce
  • Analytical software experience (Tableau or equivalent)
  • Experience in the music/sound industry

Compensation

  • The hiring range for this position is $137,000 - $155,000 annually + bonus and is dependent on location and experience. This is the hiring range and does not include the value of benefits. The hiring range does not reflect total earning potential over time.
  • Final offers within the posted compensation range are based on qualifications, skills and experience required for the role.
